1. Calcium hydroxide contained in the waste from saccharin extracted from plants serves as an essential supplementary material for chicken feed production. The waste only needs to be air-dried and hardened before use. Chicken feed processed from such waste can boost chickens' immunity and strengthen the eggshells of their eggs. Since the waste costs almost nothing, the feed delivers superior cost performance. In addition, hydrated lime can be added to poultry manure and other wastes from intensive poultry farms. It helps protect the farm environment, inhibit parasites and pests, and greatly reduce the incidence of diseases among farmed poultry.

2. In the fishery industry, calcium hydroxide can effectively adjust the pH value of ponds and lakes with acidic water, creating a more suitable aquatic environment for aquatic organisms, especially farmed fish. Accordingly, the application of limestone can substantially increase the output of aquatic products and reduce losses caused by improper water pH levels.

3. In the orchard industry, ripe fruits such as apples release a certain amount of carbon dioxide. During storage and transportation, the carbon dioxide emitted by fruits lowers the oxygen level in the surrounding environment, which accelerates fruit decay. Speeding up air circulation in the fruit storage space or adding slaked lime can reduce carbon dioxide concentration, keeping fruits fresh and extending their shelf life. Many lime-treated mixtures can be used as raw materials for livestock feed, for instance, the blend of citrus waste and lime. Furthermore, limestone can stabilize the pH value of fruit juice, improving its flavor, taste and color.

4. Inorganic products Limestone and its derivatives are indispensable raw materials for manufacturing a wide range of inorganic salt products, including calcium phosphate, toothpaste additives, calcium citrate used as additives in food and beverages, and calcium nitrite applied in sludge treatment.

5. Vegetable storage. Limestone is widely used in the storage and transportation of vegetables. This method is commonly adopted for plums and tomatoes in countries like the United States and Canada. Our products are applicable to fruits and vegetables transported and stored under controlled atmosphere conditions. Bagged food-grade slaked lime is widely used to absorb carbon dioxide generated by fresh ripe fruits and vegetables during storage and transportation due to its strong adsorption capacity for carbon dioxide. In forestry, spraying limestone onto crop leaves can promote the absorption of soluble nutrients required for plant growth. This practice cuts down fertilizer consumption and increases crop yields, bringing dual benefits.

6. Soil stabilization and fertilization. Slaked lime can improve the physical structure of soil, reduce surface crusting, enhance water retention capacity and effectively prevent soil erosion. It can also raise soil pH values and lower the toxicity of soil containing heavy metals such as manganese, iron and aluminum, thereby significantly boosting crop yields.
