Physical and Chemical Properties:

It is soft and fine white powder with density of 2.24 g/cm³ and bulk density ranging from 0.6 to 0.8 g/cm³. It loses bound water and converts into calcium oxide at 580℃. It absorbs carbon dioxide in air to form calcium carbonate, soluble in acids and slightly soluble in water.

Applications:

It is widely applied as food processing auxiliary, curing agent, buffering agent and neutralizer. It is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and various food additives, preparation of high-tech biomaterial Hyaluronic Acid (HA), as well as synthesis of feed additive Vitamin C phosphate. Besides, it serves as an additive in the production of konjac food, vegetarian food, beer and calcium salts including calcium naphthenate, calcium lactate and calcium citrate. It can also be used in wastewater treatment. In addition, the product works as acidity regulator and calcium source for semi-finished meat products, konjac products, beverages and pharmaceutical enemas, and is applicable to the synthesis of other organic chemical products.
